Analysis of damage and fracture behavior in ductile metal sheets undergoing compression and shear preloading

Abstract The present paper comprises the experimental and numerical analysis of damage fracture behavior ductile metals under non-proportional loading with compression shear preloading. For this purpose, biaxial experiments H-specimen using a pneumatic downholder for followed by failure tension stress state corresponding simulations are performed analyzed.
